First and foremost – we would like to officially welcome all of the new students & families to the organization.  street portraitsThis will be an amazing experience for you, and we hope that you will enjoy every step of the way.

Our first event is this Saturday – the Kick-Off to the season.  You should have received the invite at some point last week via the text messaging system.

All students should arrive at the high school band room for 3:00pm.   You can use the main auditorium doors!   (Make sure you wear sneakers and bring a water bottle with you).

Parents: we are asking that you return back at 6:00pm for a very important informational meeting, as well as a reveal of the 2016 Show Theme!

EVERYONE is then invited to the BBQ we will be having Saturday night at 7:00pm!

Student Leadership 2016:

Over the past few weeks, we have been evaluating all of the applicants for leadership positions with the band this upcoming season.   An effective student leadership team is essential for the operations of the program.

The process included a combination of roundtable discussions, written essays, live conducting auditions and interviews with the instructional staff.

With that being said, we are very proud to announce the 2016 Leadership Team:

  • Drum Major: Sarah Burns
  • Assistant Drum Major & Low Brass Section Leader: Matthew Tweedie
  • Flute Section Leader: Mackenzie Myers
  • Clarinet Section Leader: Nick Sutton
  • Alto Sax Section Leader: Sarah Coffman
  • Tenor Sax Section Leader: Kayleigh Horton
  • Trumpet Section Leader: Zachary Lindley
  • Mellophone Section Leader: Sean Malloy
  • Color Guard: Madelynn Doepping & Myranda Ruddy
  • Drum Line: Maggie Shillinger
  • Front Ensemble: Hayley Peck & Paige Ritter

Most of you will be receiving this message via a link in the “Remind” communication system: it’s either via text message or an app that you downloaded.

If you have not signed up yet, please follow this link.

You will also see an option for parents to register for their own group.  Messages sent to this group will be primarily from the Phantom Band Boosters: reminders about fundraising, volunteer opportunities, etc.

If you’re on Facebook, you should also plan on joining the official “PAHS Band” Facebook group.

Finally, there is a Google Calendar that has EVERY date & event associated with the PAHS Band program on it.     There are also instructions in this link on how to import it directly into your smartphone calendar.
